Indicator Development Surveillance for Urban Emergencies
The project focuses on operational research for collecting data on socio-economic wellbeing of the urban slum dwellers in Kenya. The key objectives include gathering data to enable development of indicators for urban slum, to compare what constitutes a normal situation and a crisis in the urban slums and to develop practical set of indicators to counter urban emergencies that can be suitable for triggering humanitarian emergencies in the urban settlements.
